Scarborough, Queensland

Scarborough is the name given to the suburb situated at the tip of Queensland's Redcliffe Peninsula. The suburb is known primarily for having won both the 'Queensland's Friendliest Beach' and 'Australia's Friendliest Beach' awards in 2004. The main street of the town is situated across from the recipiant of the award, Queens Beach, a hotspot for families, windsurfers and day visitors from Queensland's capital Brisbane. There is also a thriving seafood industry, and the suburb acts as a gateway to Moreton Island through the ferry terminal.
