Shanbally Castle

Shanbally Castle was acquired by the Irish Land Commission in 1954 was located near Clogheen , County Tipperary. In 1960 the castle, after much controversy, was demolished. The Irish Government claimed that it could not find a suitable owner to for the castle and that it was unoccupied.
