Snow-White and Rose-Red (German: Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot) is a fairy tale written by the Brothers Grimm.
The story tells of a generous family consisting of a mother and her daughters who befriend a bear and are later rewarded for their kindness.
Except that the story includes the character of Snow White, as well as a dwarf and a prince, the story bears virtually no resemblance to the famous Walt Disney movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which is based on a second Grimm tale, entitled simply Snow White.
