Sool is a region (gobolka) Somaliland, and was formerly part of the British Somaliland protectorate. Its capital is Laascaanood. It is bordered by Ethiopia and the Somaliland regions of Togdheer, Sanaag, and Somalias regions of Bari and Nugaal.
