Spencer Spit State Park

Spenser Spit State Park consists of two sand spits that joined to form a briny marsh lagoon. This provides a migratory stop for waterfowl, including Bonaparte's gulls. Other local fauna include great blue herons and kingfishers. Other recreation opportunities include fishing, clamming, and beachcombing. The park is on Lopez Island in San Juan County, Washington.
