The Spokane Symphony is a seventy-piece orchestra based in Spokane, WA that performs more than sixty concerts per year for more that 150,000 listeners. It was originally incorporated in 1945 as the Spokane Philharmonic and became the Spokane Symphony in 1962. The regular season includes a ten-concert Classics series, six SuperPops performances at the Spokane Opera House, and three pairs of chamber orchestra concerts at the Metropolitan Performing Arts Center. The Symphony also performs a two-concert series at North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, ID. A Chamber Soiree Series began in 2000 and is held in the Davenport Hotel's Marie Antoinette Room. Each summer, the Symphony is featured at the Festival at Sandpoint, ID and, as a further outreach, Classics and Met concerts are broadcast on 91.1 KPBX-FM.
