Spruce Grove, Alberta

Spruce Grove is a western suburb of Edmonton, Alberta. Its population is estimated at around 17,000 people. Along with Stony Plain it is in Parkland County . Population of Parkland County (2001 census) 27,252.

Spruce Grove is a vibrant community with plenty of business and housing opportunities. The Horizon stage is a center for performing arts here, and its Tri-Municipal Leisure Centre provides a pool, soccer fields, a gymnasium, workout gym, and ice rinks to the people of Parkland County. As it is fifteen minutes from Edmonton, it is simple to travel there to shop when needed, which isn't often, as the huge amount of businesses on the east end presents citizens with plenty of choice.

Spruce Grove has kilometers of bike trails, called the Heritage Grove Trail, through the ParticiPark, where bike riders can ride for hours through lush forest.

Canadian Olympic skier Jennifer Heil hails from Spruce Grove, as does famous NHL goaltender Grant Fuhr.
