St. Cloud State University


St. Cloud State University is a four year university and part of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system, located in St. Cloud, Minnesota on the banks of the Mississippi River.

Student Media

The school operates a radio station, KVSC 88.1 FM . Students also publish a newspaper, the University Chronicle.

Besides this, there is also a student run television station known as UTVS, and recently it won First place in the Midwest for best student news and productions, at the Society of Professional Journalists convention in Bloomington, MN, in 2005.

In September of 2004, it received honorable mention as one of the best student run television stations in the nation in ,New York City, in 2004.

In addition SCSU Mass Communications program is nationally accredited.

Athletics

St. Cloud State University currently sponsors 17 Division II teams and is a member of the North Central Conference. Their mascot is the Husky.
