St. Mary's Seminary & University in Baltimore, Maryland, founded 1791, was the first Catholic seminary established in the United States. St. Mary’s has been owned and operated by the Society of Saint-Sulpice, a community of diocesan priests dedicated to the formation of priests, since it was founded.
