St. Zachary Parish in Des Plaines, IL, was established on January 18, 1962, as another Roman Catholic parish in Chicagoland.

Currently St. Zachary Parish consists of a K-8 Catholic school and church.

In the first weekend of August, St. Zachary holds their annual Augustfest, which typically lasts 4 days. There are carnival rides, food from local restaurants, live bands, bingo, and casino games. Augustfest is used as a fundraiser for the church and school.
