Steve Carell (born August 16, 1963) is an American actor. He was a correspondent on The Daily Show for several years, and also appeared in recurring sketches like "Even Stevphen" (with Stephen Colbert) and "Produce Pete." In 2002–2003 he was featured in the short-lived Julia Louis-Dreyfus sitcom Watching Ellie. He currently appears in the American remake of the hit British series The Office.
Carell returned to the Daily Show on March 23rd, 2005, for a piece on the second anniversary of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, as well as another guest appearance as Produce Pete Steve Carell on April 4th, 2005, and is still listed in the show's credits.
His film roles include Bruce Almighty and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Carell has also done some voice acting, including several voices in "The Ambiguously Gay Duo" for Saturday Night Live.
He is married to Nancy Walls , another former Daily Show correspondent.
