Steve the Wraith is a fictional character appearing in several episodes of the TV show Stargate Atlantis. He was captured by Major John Sheppard in the episode "Suspicion", in an attempt to learn more about the Wraith. Steve was held in a force field prison in the Atlantis base, and it is assumed that he was under constant surveillance by two guards. The captured Wraith would not reveal his true name, so Major Sheppard named him Steve while interrogating him one day. Steve died after exposure to a prototype anti-Wraith vaccine in the episode Poisoning the Well, which Dr. Kavanagh in the episode "Letters from Pegasus" believed was a violation of the Third Geneva Convention regarding the treatment of prisoners of war .
