Strathkelvin People's Independent Labour Party

The Strathkelvin People's Independent Labour Party is a minor political party operating in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland.

Formed in November, 2004 by two ex-Labour councillors from East Dunbartonshire (Charles Kennedy and Jack Young ) they intend to campaign on issues such as displeasure with council tax, the closure of the local hospital and so on. It is their intention to try and win support from people disillusioned with the way in which East Dunbartonshire council is being run.

They intend to hold an inaugural meeting of their party on 6 December, 2004 and have stated that they may change their name in the future.
