Stuart Feldman is best known as the creator of the make computer software for UNIX systems. He was also an author of the Fortran 77 compiler, and he was part of the original group at Bell Labs that created the UNIX operating system. He is currently serving as a vice president of the Association for Computing Machinery, or ACM, and is a Vice President at IBM. He is also a member of ACM Queue's Editorial Advisory Board, a magazine he helped found with Steve Bourne and ACM.
