Subandhu

Subandu was the first person to use the concept of a number zero. In Arabic numerals, he denoted it by a dot. Zero is known to most as the number representing nothing, and to mathematicians as the additive identity in the field of real numbers. Subandu is believed to have lived around 5000BC. He was a highly repected figure in ancient Arabic culture, and was referred to by many as "Papa Subandu". He was also a dedicated family man with 11 children, all of whom were boys, one of which was named Raphael.
