Sudden Fear is a 1952 film noir which tells the story of an actor who attempts to seduce a female film director in order to prove to her that he can play a romantic lead. It stars Joan Crawford, Jack Palance, Gloria Grahame, Bruce Bennett , Virginia Huston and Mike Connors.
The movie was adapted by Lenore J. Coffee and Robert Smith from the novel by Edna Sherry . It was directed by David Miller.
It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Jack Palance), Best Actress in a Leading Role (Joan Crawford), Best Cinematography, Black-and-White and Best Costume Design, Black-and-White.
