Suhrawardi

Shihabuddin Yahya as-Suhrawardi, was a prominent mystic-philosopher.

who should be distinguished from Abu 'l-Najib al-Suhrawardi and his paternal nephew Abu Hafs Umar al-Suhrawardi (d. 1234), was an important Sufi. He was born in 1153 in North-West-Iran and died in 1191 in Aleppo.
