Sun Country Airlines is an American discount airline headquartered in the Minneapolis suburb of Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Sun Country uses nearby Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport as its hub, and flies regularly-scheduled and charter flights from the Humphrey terminal of that airport to destinations in the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Most of Sun Country's destinations are warm-weather resort locales, such as Orlando, Florida; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Acapulco and Cancun, Mexico. Additionally, the airline also offers regularly-scheduled service from Minneapolis-St. Paul to New York's JFK Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, and Seattle-Tacoma.

The great majority of Sun Country's routes either arrive in or depart from Minneapolis-St. Paul, but the airline also offers limited and occassional service from smaller Midwestern cities, including Fargo, North Dakota and La Crosse, Wisconsin, to destinations such as Las Vegas.

Sun Country's fleet consists, in part, of Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

IATA Code

Sun Country Airlines uses the IATA designator code SY.
