Sunshine Coast, Queensland

Australia's Sunshine Coast is the Queensland region north of the state capital Brisbane, running between Caloundra in the south and Noosa Heads in the north. Other localities within the Sunshine Coast region include Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland , Maroochydore , Buderim and Nambour. Mooloolaba, near the centre of the coast is 100km north of Brisbane.

The region is characterized by beautiful beaches, expansive coastal views and rich fertile soils in the hinterland. The Sunshine Coast produces many varieties of tropical fruit and nuts, and sugar cane.

One of the main attractions on the Sunshine Coast is the Big Pineapple. Its been bankrupt nearly 4 times, but its still going. You can buy parfaits, pineapple-shaped candies, and take a little train ride around the plantation..
