Táknmál

Táknmál is the Icelandic language word meaning "Sign Language". The word originated from the Norwegian word "Tekensprĺk" - which means exactly the same thing. The Swedish word is Teckensprĺk, and the Danish is Tegnesprog.

All of these words are used in the Scandinavian languages to indicate Manual Sign language.
