Tarascha

Tarascha is a town near Kiev, Ukraine. Administratively, it is a part of Kyivs'ka oblast' and a center of Taraschans'kyi raion within that oblast'.

Tarascha is a historical Cossack town (in XVII century through XVII century - rather a city).

Despite that, nowadays the town (namely, the nearby forest) is mostly known as a place of clandestine burial and later recovery of Georgiy Gongadze, a Ukrainian journalist kidnapped and murdered in 2000.
