Thomond

Thomond (Irish: Tuadh Mumhan, meaning North Munster) sometimes called County Thomond was an ancient Kingdom of Ireland which included much of what is now County Clare and at its greatest extents included parts of the counties of Kerry, Limerick, Offaly and Tipperary.

Thomond is occasionally used in Ireland in names: for instance, Thomond College of Education was a teacher training college in Limerick, until it was amalgated with the University of Limerick. Thomond Park is also located in Limerick, whilst Thomondgate and Thomond Bridge are also in Limerick.

Thomand was also an Irish car manufacturer located in Dublin, Ireland which produced only four cars from 1925 to 1933 and did not survive the Great Depression.
