Tim Roemer

Timothy J. Roemer is a Democratic politician in the United States. Formerly a U.S. Representative from Indiana, Roemer most recently served on the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, better known as the 9/11 Commission. He was a candidate for chair of the Democratic National Committee, before dropping out in early February 2005. Howard Dean won the chairmanship on February 12. Liberal bloggers blasted him as too conservative for the post, due to his pro-life stance on abortion, his oft-mentioned vote against the Clinton economic plan in 1993 and his support for privatizing Social Security.
