Twelve Bens

Na Beana Beola (The Twelve Bens/Pins) is a picturesque mountain range in Connemara in the west of Ireland. They are not very big (max 730m) but a pleasant climb in fine weather, with superb views and no congestion. Dedicated fell runners do all twelve in a single (long!) day. Topographically, this range is parterned with the Maumturks range on the other side of the lonely Inagh Valley (and the route of Western Way long distance path).
