University Hospitals of Cleveland

University Hospitals of Cleveland is a major not-for-profit medical center in Cleveland, Ohio including the Ireland Cancer Center, the University MacDonald Women's Hospital, and the Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. It ranks among the top 20 hospitals in the United States in the areas of oncology, geriatrics, neurology, neurosurgery, and pulmonology, and among the top 10 in pediatrics.

The larger University Hospitals Health System includes an additional eight community hospitals and four partner hospitals in the northeastern Ohio area, altogether comprising 4,250 physicians and responsible for 5.3 million outpatient visits and 90,000 surgeries per year.

University Hospitals is also a major center for biomedical research, ranking among the top 15 centers in the United States with approximately $75 million in annual extramural research funding and a further $10 million in various clinical trials; and is the primary affiliate among several teaching hospitals associated with the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
