V. K. Gokak

V. K. Gokak (Vinayak Krishna Gokak) (1909-1992) was an author and scholar of Kannada literature. He was awarded the Jnanpith award for his epic Bharatha Sindhu Rashmi . Bharatha Sindhu Rashmi is perhaps the longest epic written in any language in the 20th Century. It deals with the vedic age. Suprisingly, Gokak was a Professor of English Literature.
