Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography

The All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography is the world's oldest educational institution in Cinematography, founded in 1919. The institute is located in Moscow, Russia. In 1986 it was named after Russian film director and actor Sergey Appolinariyevich Gerasimov .

Alumni include Andrey Tarkovsky, Nikita Mikhalkov, Yuri Norstein, Alexandr Petrov and others.
