Volodymyr-Volyns'kyi

Volodymyr-Volynsky (Володимир-Волинський; Polish: Włodzimierz Wołyński, Russian: Vladimir Volynski) is a city in Volyn region, northwestern Ukraine, with a population of 38,000 (2004). This city was a part of Poland in 1340-1795 and 1919-1939.

It is a historical city in the region of Volhynia. Austrian authorities referred to it as Lodomeria. During WWII it was the site of a German concentration camp.
