Guido "Wedo" Georgetti (born 1911) is an American painter, etcher and lithographer. He was born in Marche, Italy, and came to the US when he was one. Once famous for his watercolor art and prints, Georgetti was blacklisted by the government during the McCarthy era. He was not convicted, but it shed a negative light on his art. What once sold for USD$1,000 was now unlikely to earn more than $200, if it even sold. However, instead of giving up, Georgetti kept on printing and giving art to relatives. Georgetti's art is making a comeback, however, and has recently been featured in a few art shows.
