Wevelgem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Gullegem , Moorsele and Wevelgem proper. On January 1 2004 Wevelgem had a total population of 31,084 (15,469 males and 15,615 females). The total area is 38.75 km² which gives a population density of 802.12 inhabitants per km².
