List of English words of Etruscan origin

(Redirected from Words of Etruscan origin)

This is a list of English words that are thought to have their origin in Etruscan and were borrowed through Latin. Not all of these words have been demonstrated to be of Etruscan origin, and some may be Indo-European. For example, most linguistic references state that Latin atrium is probably derived from the Proto-Indo-European root *ater, 'fire', in which case it would not be from Etruscan.
